Hi internet addicts, i'm Daniel for those of you that don't know me, today upon another Mrs B request, i'm going to talk about the polemic beach body ready protein shake campaign,
This is the Advert that generated all this polemic =
This image connotates that if you use this product, you will look like the woman in the image,
the image also connotates that if you use the product you will look happy, the industry used the colour yellow in the bikini and in the background show this, i actually think that this advert is a lost of money and time, because this campaign was horrible, they make the advert and people start to hate, the ASA that is the self-regulatory organisation of the advertising industry in whole UK banned advert, the mayor of London takes the advert out of the underground, and you still need to pay attention to other companies making similar adverts, so "It was this time that they knew... EVERYTHING EXPLODED" as a terrorist bomb, if i was the CEO of "Protein World" i would dismiss the advertising agency that came up with this idea, well coming back to the work,
he body is incredible beautiful this connotates that you should have this body and that if you use the product you will be like that, i think who believed on this should be frustrated with what they did with their lifes. By her skin be grey connotates that she is sad but the product will make her happy again. I actually agree with the ASA conclusion because this advert was offensive because this is making people think that you should be like that and this can make you sad, and depressive, so i agree because this advert took the people opinion about their body, eg = someone was happy with their weight but after the advert got sad and started to go to a gym just because the advert made he feel fat.The mayor of London banned the advert because "Nobody should feel pressurised while they travel on the tube or bus, into unrealistic expectations surrounding their bodies" - KHAN Sadiq - 2015.
He is actually right because this actually means that no one need to do something with their bodies just because of a bad advert, the TFL responsed that they will apply to all new ads submitted to TFL, under regular review, in other words they will do everything following ASA rules. The Guardian aske d 2 men about the advert one said that he didn't feel offended, but his friend said he was so used to seeing near-naked women on billboards, he hardly noticed them anymore, this is different of what the women said because the women care more about her body and how they will look.
Social media helped the advertising explode by ladies put images of themselves wearing bikinis, this impacted not just people but the protein world too because this showed more anger from people,
